We specialize in tours that take you out of the ordinary, to tell you the little-known but revealing stories of our former residents, from beloved President and patriots to the unsung heroes and heroines whose actions built this city, and our country, into what it is today.
The owner of this family-operated business is a native Alexandrian and ninth-generation Virginian who has spent untold hours of research on the historic home town of George Washington and Robert E. Lee.

Did you know...that Alexandria was the most important Scottish city of the 1750s...that the world's first global war started in an Alexandrian's dining room...that a 17 year-old apprentice surveyor named George Washington assisted in laying out the town and that he was already a war hero 15 years before the Revolutionary War...or that Alexandria was once our country's westernmost seaport!!!
A fascinating educational and entertaining walking tour to many of Old Town's significant landmarks and little known sites. You will learn about the early history of Alexandria and walk where George Washington and other Virginia patriots walked. (This tour is ideal for groups and can be arranged by appointment for groups of six or more to suit your particular needs.)

Did you know...that Alexandria was the site of a civil rights sit-in, 20 years before the famous Greensboro, NC lunch counter...that it was also home to the largest slave dealing operation in the South...or that our unique geopolitics attracted large numbers of Free Blacks throughout the 19th Century?
You'll learn all this and more on one of our two African-American History Tours. Our North tour highlights the Colonial era, Underground Railroad and schools; ends at the Black History Museum. The South tour highlights churches, slave pens, and cemeteries; ends at African American Heritage Park.
